Xbox One Stereo Headset - Others can barely hear me

I got the new Stereo Headset this week. I've tried using it playing Titanfall with multiple friends. Everyone says they care
barely hear me. One of the guys I was playing with got the headset adapter and he said he's having the same issue. People tell him they can barely hear him.

I plugged the headset into my iPhone and used it to make a phone call. Person on the other end could hear me fine. So, the problem has to be either the headset adapter, controller or the console itself.

the stereo headset sounds great I can hear game audio and chat audio great but when I talk either in party or game chat my friends and strangers always tell me they can barely hear me the microphone output is low for some reason I have to yell almost for
them to hear me better. I have updated the controller to the latest firmware and also bought a second headset thinking there was a issue with mine and did not fix the issue. Please help.

Yeah, I have the same problem. I need the mic closer to my face than the headset allows. I've also fully updated the controllers and console etc.

 

I've got the exact same issue. It's not comfortable to wear the left ear cup on the left half of my face just for friends to hear me. Can somebody please help us out?

 

Have you disabled the ability to use the Kinect sensor for chat? That has cleared up quite a few issues with the stereo headset.

 

I have now disabled that option. I tested my voice in party chat, and it seems to pick me up better. I also tested voice over in Upload Studio, it's very clear. Thank you for your help - it seems to have worked. Now to just get rid of those crackles...

 

Great, glad that worked out for you. As for the crackles, I've only heard them if I move the plug in the adapter. Be sure the plug is secured well in the puck.

 

It's plugged in properly, but I pretty much exclusively hear the crackles when navigating the dashboard. Otherwise, it's fine.

 

Same issue for me. People can barely hear me in party chat. If I slide the left side ear piece onto my cheek to put the mic in front of my mouth, it sounds much better but clearly that isn't a solution.

Either it needs a longer mic boom or they need to increase the level/sensitivity of the mic. Gonna return them until they address the problem.

 

Yeah, my friends can still only just hear me. Is it something to do with the sound settings?

 

I've found that I'm still extremely quiet to my friends on party chat, but when I do a voice over (headset not Kinect) in Upload Studio my voice is crystal clear. I think it must be a firmware issue... Has anyone else got any insight into this issue?
