    Xbox one stereo headset issue


    When I came on xbox yesterday everything was fine, I could speak in party chat and hear everything and then my controller just randomly turned off and when I turned it back on I couldn't speak In party chat but I could hear game sounds and party chat
    fine.

    Anyone having the same problem or has a suggestion then please reply

    It's my understanding that as part of the
    preview program     you will want to post to the insider forums . Additionally, submitting

    feedback through the console     will be the best way to make sure the team is aware that you are having an issue.

    Also, it might be helpful to know when you say "...actual headsets designed to work with XB1", are you referring to the "Xbox One Stereo Headset" ? If so,
    may I suggest you double check "Set up and troubleshoot your Xbox One Stereo Headset" .

    Xbox one stereo headset issue

    I'm experiencing the same thing. I originally thought it was my headset but after seeing many similar posts, Im guessing its a xbox adapter.

    exactly the same thing here on the same day on two of mine and my husbands stereo headsets on the exact same day !!

    Xbox one stereo headset issue

    Hey everyone!

    Sorry to hear about the stereo headset issues, I can definitely understand how frustrating that could be. If you haven't already, I recommend trying some troubleshooting steps to see if we can get this issue sorted.

    Please give the following steps a try:

    • First, make sure that you have updated your controller’s software to support the Stereo Headset Adapter.
    • If your software is updated, press and hold the power button on your Xbox One for 10 seconds.
    • Once your console is powered off, unplug your consoles power cord.
    • Unplug your stereo headset and adapter from your controller.
    • Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console, headset and headset adapter.
    • Power on your console and make sure the orange LED on your stereo headset is not lit, indicating that your headset is muted.
    • Try joining party chat to see if the issue continues.

    Xbox One S and Official Stereo Headset Adapter not recognized

    Hi Zathrus,

    We have two of the
    Xbox Stereo Headset     with Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, and both sets have worked well with no problems for sometime now. And I have used the
    adapter with non-Microsoft headset with no issues. So, given that you say your "3.5 mm cabled headset " works directly connected to the controller, then I regret to say it would seem that the fault lies with the adapter itself and may need to be replace.

    I can understand your frustration with all the bad luck you have been having. And, for the record, I am not part of the Microsoft staff nor an Xbox customer support employee. But, I can say that we have 2 Xbox Ones and 1 Xbox One S, and 2 of the

    Xbox One Stereo Headsets    . And, both headsets work well, with and without the
    Stereo Headset Adapters    , on all our Xboxes.

    Sorry to hear about the chat issues, I can definitely understand how frustrating that could be. Just to clarify, what headset are you experiencing the issue with? The Xbox One chat headset or the Xbox One stereo headset? If you are using the Xbox One
