Xbox one stereo headset info wanted

Just wondering has anyone got these? What's the sound like for gaming plus can you hear the enemy coming from left or right

Hi there, unfortunately there is no feature on the console itself to change sound/chat options like this, there is a balancing feature for the stereo headset adapter though. see info here:

I've got these and can confirm they sound awesome, you can defo hear left and right but they aren't full surround, lots of bass in them, I can't really compare then to high end headsets but they were on sale in argos (uk) for £35, I couldn't refuse for
that price and I'm more than happy with them, really comfortable too (but a little ugly) Using these for BF4 cranks it up a whole other level, I would suggest watching a few youtube reviews, there's plenty there, overall, I would recommend them

 

Yea seen them in Argos for £36 so thinking of getting them.

Can you hear your friends voices clearly and they can hear yours?

 

If you want to spend a bit for for the full 360 stereo then the Turtle Beach XO4's are decent.

You need to update the controller to get the full Surround Sound but it comes with a USB to controller adaptor to do this.

Great for games like "Alien" and "The Evil Within" and pretty much anything else really.

 

Yeah voice works perfect on them, loud and clear on both ends from my experience, the adaptor lets you turn the volume up and down between game/voice individually so just find your preferred setting and your good to go

 

I own them as well and like them great for the price. Left and right for sure but you aren't going to tell if they are front to back because no surround. Good to great sound quality and mic arm that slides up and away is great. If you are looking for
a nice base headset I would say they are great.

 

The Kohls near me has them...my wife used her coupon magic there and got these bad boys for $16.99. They work great and for that price...i can NOT complain.

 

The sound quality is great for the price. I have a Stealth 500X headset too and the MS one has better sound quality IMO, although of course it's just stereo and not simulated surround sound like the 500X. If I go back to using the 500X, the sound is really
"hollow" in comparison. It offers good sound isolation too, although that can make it hard to tell how loud you're talking into the mic sometimes as there's no mic monitoring option. The voice chat quality is really good.

The headset adapter allows you to adjust the balance between game audio and chat/party audio using 2 buttons, so there's not separate volume controls for each. Instead, if you press the game audio button, for example, it will raise the volume of the game
audio and lower the volume of the chat/party audio by one small step. Using those 2 buttons you can get the right balance so you can hear your friends talking and hear the game audio too. It also has a mute button with a light on it, so that you know when
your mic is muted, and volume up and down buttons.

 

Was going to get the Microsoft version then thought no, so I got the Turtle Bach XO Sevens Pro, comes with turtle beach adapter that give mic monitoring, pre-sets for sound and mic, awesome quality also. I did have some XO Fours but the dog chewed them
one night, and they were on the top shelf.

 

I wish I'd bought that Turtle Beach headset instead of the 500X.

Am Reading some reviews is anyone having issues with the mic and people hearing you speak?Reason i ask is because am reading some comments on how people have complained that in party chat other people can't hear you clearly

 

I know you've already heard from quite a few people already, but I just wanted to put in my 2 cents as well to vouch for the validity of the device - it's awesome and does its intended purpose very well, especially for the price.
