    Xbox One Stereo Headset fail point?


    So i've recently discovered a crack on a pair of stereo headset i use with my xbox one, upon further inspection i discovered that the metal adjustable frame only shallow insert into each individual arm(the part that is attached to each ear *** and is the
    adjustable portion of these headset)

    below is a image, upon seeing this issues little more research reveal that this appears to be a common breaking point, where either the two plastic portions of the arm will separate from each other, or it will crack like mine.

    Now my headset is well out of warranty, but for being 60 dollar headset i did not expect to see such a problem, it seem to me merely extending the metal locking bar deeper thoughout the headset, where it terminates further down closer to the earphones would
    fix this.

    I can understand your frustration with all the bad luck you have been having. And, for the record, I am not part of the Microsoft staff nor an Xbox customer support employee. But, I can say that we have 2 Xbox Ones and 1 Xbox One S, and 2 of the

    Xbox One Stereo Headsets    . And, both headsets work well, with and without the
    Stereo Headset Adapters    , on all our Xboxes.

    One S Controller audio

    Hi there,

    Thanks for getting back to us. I would like to ask what kind of headsets are you using? Are they chat headset or stereo headset? Reason I ask is due to the fact that the Xbox One console does not transmit game sounds or music through the Xbox
    One Chat Headset. If you're looking for an Xbox One headset that provides both game and chat audio, see Set up and troubleshoot

    Another thing I would suggest is to try your Headset on another controller, if you can. If the headset works on the second controller, try
    updating the first controller again. If that fails, the controller will need to be replaced. Also,
    Try your Xbox One Stereo Headset with another device, such as a laptop, to see if the headset is working. If not, the headset will need to be replaced.

    If your Xbox One Stereo Headset isn’t functioning correctly, check the following:

    • Have you updated your controller’s software to support the Stereo Headset Adapter?
    • Make sure your controller has fresh batteries. When the batteries get weak, some controller functions, such as audio and rumble, are turned off to conserve the remaining power.
    • Make sure your Headset Adapter is firmly plugged into your controller and that your Stereo Headset’s 3.5-mm cable is securely plugged into the Headset Adapter. You will know it’s plugged in properly if you press the mute button and the LED lights up.
    • Try your Xbox One Stereo Headset with another device, such as a laptop, to see if the headset is working. If not, the headset will need to be replaced. To order a replacement, go to the Xbox
      Online Service Center       .
    • Try your Stereo Headset and Stereo Headset Adapter on another controller, if you can. If the headset works on the second controller, try updating
