Xbox One Stereo Headset clicking noise

I know that this was in older threads, but cannot seem to find any updated information...

I recently purchased an Xbox One and the Stereo Headset, so I have done the controller updates. But whenever I am playing a game while using the headset, there is a somewhat irregular clicking type noise that occurs. I can correct this issue temporarily by
restarting the Xbox, but this only lasts about 30 minutes before the issue returns. I have triple checked that my controller is updated, console is updated and everything is connected properly. Is this still a known issue? If not, any recommendation on correcting
it?

If you're using this headset adaptor

Just on a side note. I've found there isn't much need to reduce normal household noise around babies too much. As long as you're not too loud or startling, the baby will be fine.

 

For what it is worth, I have chatted with Xbox Support. They had me clear the alternate MAC address as well as replace the headset (which I did). New headset has the exact same issue.

 

You're not on your own. Just recently purchased a brand new Xbox One and new XO Stereo Headset myself. I'm getting exactly the same issue! I thought this was supposed to have been fixed back in April?

It's either an issue with the adapter or the controller as the stereo headset doesn't have any of these clicking issues when plugged into another device.

 

Of course leave it to Microsoft to just simply avoid to answer/solution to this. I've looked all over the forums, and the exact same thing seems to be going on with more people than this should. Apparently to a lesser degree after those patches back in April,
but no one from Microsoft directly will chime in and just say "Hey, sorry guys, we still know it's an issue.".

Thankfully we don't need the headset to enjoy the gaming, but it sure does leave us with that same bitter Microsoft experience.

I'm sorry to hear about the clicking/crackling noises you've been experiencing. I certainly understand how this could be frustrating. I want to assure you both that this issue is currently being investigated and if you haven't already, I would suggest checking
out this post and trying out the troubleshooting steps that are provided by Mister Quimby.

 

Thanks for the update Miss Diggz. I've followed the troubleshooting and it hasn't improved matters. There's people on here that have gone through 2 or 3 headsets, controllers and adapters in the hope that it'll solve it, but they've had no luck. MS definitely
need to push out an update for us all asap.

I'm starting to regret getting rid of my PS4 as Sony's official wireless headset has pristine clear audio. This has all been mightily disappointing...
