Xbox One Stereo Headset (April Update)

Hello, Does anyone here have the official Microsoft Xbox One Stereo Headset? I just bought it today because I noticed that the April Update was applied to my console before I went in to work. My question is does this headset sound nice and clear after the
April Update that supposedly fixed the audio quality with headsets as far as game sound and chat sound. Anyone that knows if the static issue and choppy sound that was prior to the April update is gone please reply with more information. I want to make sure
this headset sounds good before I open the box. Thanks.

    :)

  2. Stereo Headset and Adapter Issues

"As of the April 2014 Xbox One System Update, the firmware update for the controller and stereo headset adapter has been updated and includes significant improvements to audio quality with the Stereo Headset Adapter and the process of updating controllers.
If you have taken the update previously and are having issues with your stereo headset adapter, please update your controller again with the latest Controller Update. You can update your controller by going to Settings, System, and then Controller update."

It is now April and still no update. So this means by the end of April?

  3. How do we update the controller? NO USB Cable comes with Xbox One.

About updating controller, To use the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter with your Xbox One Console, you’ll need to update your Xbox One Controller with the latest software to support the Adapter.

So Titanfall controller update is done by over air, no cable, (February update) and Stereo Headset Adapter controller update you need an cable, which comes with the adapter (March update).

  5. Mine is fine, and I've used the adaptor with a set of Ear Force Deltas from my 360 as well as XO4s XO7s the Stereo Headset and Polk 4Shots.

I can honestly say I've had no problems with any of them.

The only times I have ever heard static from other people using the adaptor is when they had both the adaptor and the plug and play (USB) wire in at the same time. and that *seems* to have been cleared up now as well....

FWIW - I have the official Stereo Headset and do still get audio dropout after the April update. Ironically, unlike the previous post, I don't get any problems when using the controller "wired" - the issues only occur when using it wirelessly (implying
the problem is something "flaky" about the wireless connection to the controller). I'm only sitting around 8 feet (if that) from the Xbox, so I shouldn't be stressing the connection out, but I tend to have minor audio drop every game or so of Titanfall (and
the controller probably disconnects completely once an hour!).

I didn't have the headset until after the April update, but believe from the forums that things have got better in April, but for me at least it doesn't seem to be quite there yet.

Here's hoping a May update may solve the problem once and for all.

[Aside from the drop outs, I actually really like the headset, though!]
