Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter + Turtle Beach X12 Problems

I've been using the headset adapter with my TB X12's for quite some time now and have had no issues, until about 3 days ago. In party and game chat, now Xbox will not pick up my voice unless I am near yelling, and all of my friends say the quality is so
bad they can barely understand me.

Nothing has changed, no updates that I am aware of, nothing. It just randomly stopped working properly.

I updated my controller and have tried new batteries, and a fully charged rechargable battery pack but still get an issue.

Ideas?

Hi,

Try a full power cycle of your console by holding down the Xbox button on your console for 5 seconds. Wait 10 seconds before turning it on again.

If it's not working maybe you need to update manually your controller (have happened for me..)

Try updating the controller a few times, don't know why but my controller took three updates to get the Turtle Beach X12 headset to work correctly. Link below gives you a guide on how to do this:

If your headphones are anything like mine (Turtle Beach X12) then the Optical cables goes from the Xbox One into the DSS2 your headset plugs into the DSS2 then the talkback cable goes into the headset adapter. Now make sure you turn down the game volume
on the headset adapter as you want SS not Stereo. You should be ready to go after that.

Are you using an Xbox One Controller? If so, try this

It works for the 360 Turtle Beach Headsets.

Your Turtle Beach X12 headset used an USB for power, and also has controls for sound levels. The Stereo Headset Adapter has only an 3.5 mm, 4 pole, Audio jack for phone plug. The adapter has Controls include volume up/down, microphone mute, and game/chat
balance. I would say buy another headset, MS has one for 79.99 with adapter.
