Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter - echoing problems?

So I picked up the Xbox One stereo headset adapter yesterday, updated my controller and plugged in my Sony Pulse Edition headset. The sound and chat output sounded great! However, the people in my party kept hearing their own voices echo. I tried another
headset (Razer Eelctra) and the same problem arose.

Any one have a problem around this? Or is this just something I'm going to have to accept?

    :)

Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter - echoing problems?

I am having this same problem with my Polk 4 Shots... I can't seem to find a solution. When I unplug the adapter and use the regular headset that came with the Xbox its fine but when I use the new adapter everyone in my party can hear echos of their own
voices. Everyone sounds fine to me though.

Also remember that their are two standards fir the Mic jack that you plug into the chat adapter, the only difference being that I think ground and voice (or whatever it's called) are reversed. Don't know if this would cause the issue, but it may be worth

  9. This might sound silly, but you muted the audio from your tv right? If you have the audio coming out of your tv as well as out of your headphones, the headset mic often picks up the audio and repeats it back causing the echo.

I had this very same problem. What fixed it for me is...

1.hold the "Controller sign on the adpter for 1 sec

    2. go to the left and press the "-" sign to lower volume.

    3. Make sure its all the way low until you here the beep.

so, i think doing this will lower the game volume insted of the chat volume.

    did it work?

My X11's are still floating around somewhere, held together by tape lol! I am just going to hold out until the current gen headsets get low in price.

I have the x12s i get game audio just fine and i can hear chat but chat is very low, also my game audio plays through the audio, so I have game audio then have chat with the echo of game audio, so i have 2 game audio sounds with a faint chat audio. anyone
know of a way to fix this, or atleast the audio echo of the game. I can turn my game audio all the way down and only have chat audio on but im still hearing game audio over chat, first time I used it for my xbox one all day I played with just chat audio and
didnt know because I hear both audios through my chat audio.

Xbox One S and Official Stereo Headset Adapter not recognized

    Hi Zathrus,

    We have two of the
    Xbox Stereo Headset
with Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, and both sets have worked well with no problems for sometime now. And I have used the
adapter with non-Microsoft headset with no issues. So, given that you say your "3.5 mm cabled headset " works directly connected to the controller, then I regret to say it would seem that the fault lies with the adapter itself and may need to be replace.
