Xbox one stereo headphones question

I want to buy the Xbox one stereo headphone because me and my wife just had a baby and I plan on playing halo MCC a lot so I need headphones because we have a small apartment but I was wondering if I could also use them to watch tv?? Anyone have any idea??

If you're using this headset adaptor

Just on a side note. I've found there isn't much need to reduce normal household noise around babies too much. As long as you're not too loud or startling, the baby will be fine.

 

Yeah, I've got a 6 month old and they generally sleep easily with a lot of loud noise. The noise that the woman's body makes to the baby while pregnant is louder than a vacuum to that fetus, so newborns generally like a lot of noise to help them sleep.
