    Xbox one Stereo Adapter unresponsive


    I've been using the XB1 Stereo headset adapter since May 2015 fine. However,today, I logged on and joined a party with no chat audio. I've been using the Turtlebeach X12 headset, but they are working fine. The adapter itself is the problem - the buttons
    usually give a beeping sound when pressed but do not give any sound anymore.

    Things I've tried to fix are:

    -Updating controller software

    -Unplugging and replugging

    -turning both controller and console off and on again

    - Plugging the headset into an Xbox 360 to test (it works fine, so the headset isn't the problem)

    In addition, I can hear chat audio when the adapter is disconnected, and I can talk when it is connected (the party says audio is coming out). However, the audio only cuts out when the 2.5mm-3.5mm adapter wire is plugged in (that's when it detects a mic
    is plugged in).

    So, what should I do? Is thrre a fix for this or am I best off replacing the stereo adapter entirely? I was hoping to play Halo 5 tomorrow with friends so I'm hoping there's a simple fix before then, instead of having to buy another. Thanks.

    •You can only connect an Xbox 360 Chat Headset using the stereo headset adapter with a 2.5-mm to 3.5-mm converter, which comes with the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter. The Xbox One Stereo Headset does not include this adapter cable.

    With the Stereo Headset Adapter for Xbox One, most headphones with a 3.5mm headphone jack will play game audio! :)
