Xbox one steering wheel buttons mapping

It’s not that the wheel is not compatable, it very much is and is recognised by the console, this is a well known issue with pretty much every wheel available, the more available buttons on the wheel the worse the issue as Microsoft only allow the standard
controller buttons to be mapped (A, B, X, Y, RB, LB etc..) so where you have a wheel with more buttons and dials (like a high end Fanatec) they are rendered useless.

I’ve been an Xbox supporter since day one but now I’m getting more and more in to sim racing this is a deal breaker, if it’s not going to be sorted I’ll move to the dark side where I can use my equipment properly.

Thank you for posting on the forums today! I'd be happy to provide some information.

As long as the steering wheel connects using USB 2.0 or 3.5mm audio jack, then it should work that way. You would need to hold down the accelerate and brake button/pedals, and then press the A or X button on your steering wheel. Through that process it should
map the pedals, which I'm guessing is mapped to the triggers by default for acceleration and brake, to the buttons you choose on the steering wheel.
