    Xbox One started making sounds


    Hello.

    Recently, my Xbox One started making a high pitch cricket like squeak coming from the inside. It's not that loud but just loud enough to be noticed. There seems to be no pattern with this and happens randomly. My warranty is still valid until February and
    would like to know if this would require repairs now or in the future as my warranty will end soon, or if I can just leave it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    my xbox one started making a high pitch sound every few seconds even when I'm on my dashboard doing nothing does anybody know what the issue is?

    Xbox ONE making sounds

    i received my xbox one yesterday and it's been making sounds

    i can hear this sound faintly from 50 centimeters away. (to get an accurate volume set the volume to be just a bit above mute)



    and i can hear a faint ticking noise when im 20 centimeters away.

    i talked with MS Support and they said it's normal but im not so sure.

    should i be concerned?

    Hey buddy,

    In all honestly, that may be something that needs repair. Its certainly not normal, and not something that I beleive can be fixed through a hard boot or anything like that.

    I could tell you to wait and see... but then you run the risk of your warranty running out, and further problems developing down the line. Better to nip it in the bud now (or soon) while you still have a warranty and getting it repaired (in my opinion)

    I'm an Xbox Ambassador and I'll try to help out in any way I can. One quick qustion....are you part of the insider program on your console? I ask only because I had this issue a while back with my One X, took it off the Program and everything returned to normal. This also coincided with constantly having the console asking for these random 68MB updates over and over again.

    I might be a part of an insider program. I am not able to turn on my Xbox to go to the home page so I would not be able to do anything.

    However, I have been getting updates the last few times I got it to startup. Is there a way to check on my computer?

    Hello ParthKataria,

    I know you may be thinking that sounds like this are not normal for a Xbox to be giving off. Some other users have reported the same noise you are questioning today. This should be normal, as what Xbox Support or MS said. If you feel that it should never
    be making that noise, you can return your console to the retailer you purchased it from and get a replacement.

    Xbox ONE started make a noise that sounds like a cricket chirp.

    I have the same issue with the squeaking on my Xbox One day one edition. Hopefully someone can give us input as to what is going on.
