Xbox One Start Up Problems

Hi guys!

I'm having a problem with my xbox one console at start up. Recently I noticed it was taking much longer for my xbox to start up and it even failed at times. Yesterday when I tried to turn it on, the xbox turned on fine, but the kinect would not start up
and my tv had no signal. After spending 4 hours trying all sorts of methods to get it to work, I was told by xbox support I need a replacement, but it was late so I just decided to worry about it today. After getting home from school, I turned my xbox on
and it seemed to work just fine (kinect was on and my tv had a signal) but as soon as I tried to click on the friends tab my xbox shut off and is now doing the same thing it was before. Any advice?

Xbox One start up problems

Hi. I'm having some start up problems with my Xbox One. To best describe what the problem is watch the video I've put below. My Xbox does exactly what this one is doing in the video and before I send it in to get repaired or a replacement I need to know
if it is a problem with the actual Xbox or is it a power cord problem? I'd appreciate it if someone could help! ()<--------- Here is the video.

Xbox One start up problems

Onyx is 100% correct. The Xbox One power supply actually has a built-in surge protector, so plugging it into another power strip basically puts two layers of surge protection, which chokes off the necessary power at startup - the console actually draws more
power during startup routines than when it's just running normally.

Incidentally, this was actually one of the MAIN causes of the RRoD on the old 360s, components would fail because they didn't have enough power on startup.

Perform a "Soft Reset" - Press and hold consoles power button for 8-10 seconds until it powers down. Wait 30 seconds, then press again. Boot up will take a bit longer. Hopefully this will address your issue. Let us know how it goes.

The first time I tried I got the black screen, but the second time currently seems to be the charm. I was able to get to my main screen, sign in, and start a game! Thanks for the help. Might it have helped that I had everything unplugged for about 7 hours
before trying anything?

a soft factory reset. This type of factory reset keeps your games and applications installed, but it will remove all your profiles from the console. Therefore, the email address and password of those accounts must be known before this step is taken. Also,

His is plugged into a power bar. Some power bars are notorious for not providing enough power to consoles. If your console is plugged into a power bar then try using a wall socket for it.

If it still does not work then you may need to set up a repair of the console.

No issues with internet connection on other devices. Connected via ethernet to fibre broadband.
