Xbox one start up issue

Hi, i've just come to turn my xbox on and first of all it had 2 start up beeps instead of the usual 1, with about 5 seconds between each one, which i thought was strange. Then a troubleshoot screen comes up with continue, Offline system update (which can't
be selected), Reset this xbox and Turn off this xbox. I've selected all of these but each one i select the xbox just restarts itself and the the same troubleshoot page comes up again. Was working fine before but haven't used it in about a week, Any ideas guys?

xbox one GTAV start up issue

Despite being set to load into Online rather than Story mode, since one of the updates in the last 2 months or so, it always loads into story mode, unless I hit X. Anyone got a solution?

Also, a lot of the time it asks me to choose a profile, when I'm already signed in.

Xbox One S Start up issue

Hi ProMourinho88, the poster used a wired connection rather than wireless to get around the restarting issue.

Another way is to remove the password from your wireless network temporarily until the Xbox has done the initial update etc, then you can password protect your network again.

Hi there,

the reason the offline system update can't be selected is likely because there is no offline system update available.

Can you try the steps on the following support page to see if you can run the offline update: Restore to Factory Defaults | Xbox One

If that also fails then it is best to contact Xbox Support (Phone or Microsoft Support Chat) to see if they have any addition steps to try. If they don't then the only option will be to have the console serviced/repaired

This can be fixed with an offline update. Now as you can't actually access the settings to do this there is a way to restore to factory defaults using a USB flash drive. If you visit the offline system diagnostic support page you can download the Restore
Factory Defaults file:

support.xbox.com/.../system-updates-solution

Read through the process of formatting the flash drive etc thoroughly and follow the instructions as if you were doing a system update but using the file you downloaded you may find that your console will then boot correctly.

Have you tried completely disconnecting your console (power cord too) and plugging back in? That or a power cycle (press and hold power button for at least 10 seconds until it turns off).

Hey there Agent,

Let's have you try to perform a full
Factory Reset, but make sure to keep your Games & apps. This will refresh the console fully, but you won't need to reinstall any games or apps. You will need to re-sign into any profiles you had on the console again though.

That may help with and issues with the console booting up.
