Xbox One Star Wars Battlefront 2 error 0x80040900

Hello

Yesterday evening (31.10.2018), when the xbox live server had a problem. I could not play the Star Wars Battlefront 2 with multiplayer mode.

After when I got a message, tha probleme solved, I tryed but my probleme did not solve.

This morning I has tryed again, but the multiplayer mode has not worked.

My xbox one console says: Turn off the console after 10min turn back, error code: 0x80040900.

My internet conection is ok, my live profile is ok. I can play other games in online. The problem has only the ST Battlefront 2.

A few days ago I got some updates in my game, but everything is fine. And yes I could try restart the network modem to.

I'm sorry to hear about this issue being experienced with not being able to play SW BF 2 multiplayer.

I want to clarify first is this the old game or the one by EA that came out in 2017?

I would suggest to start of with a complete
power cycle.

1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
   
2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 5 minutes.
3. Plug the console power cable back in.
4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

Try that out and let us know the results!

But this thing didn't work

I have the SW B2 2017version.

It's new, and my xbox one console too (it's almost 2 weeks old). Everything was fine until two days ago.

When I try a network conetction test (normal, and multiplay too) it says: everything is good.

But the game says no: error 0x80040900

So sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue and are unable to play Battlefront 2.

If it was working fine before, then I would totally say that your best bet for getting this issue resolved might be what we call a soft reset.
It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network.

Also make sure that you select the option denoted
reset and keep my games and apps.

I have one more question: My console has 2 diffrent account (one for me and one for my boyfriend and we have the same problemes) . So when I do these steps, the other account will be ok? ( of coursre, the other person will have to sign in back too... Am I think
well?)

As stated by fellow XBF Esteban R, Yes, if the reset is done correctly (keep games and apps) both accounts will be fine the only thing that needs to be done is sign back in. Give it a shot and let us know if we can further assist in this or any other matter!!

I tried but didn't work "after the 'soft reset" we tried the game in multiplayer mode, but I got the same message

" Wait a full minute, then try again. If you keep seeing this, turn off your Xbox by pressing and holding the power button for 10sec. Then turn it back on and try action again ( 0x80040900)

Sorry to hear about the game not working for you, let's try to get you back online. I've read through the thread, it seems you have done quite a bit of troubleshooting. If you haven't already, please try

uninstalling the game then redownloading it.

1. From Home, select My games & apps, and then select
   See all.
2. When you’ve highlighted something to uninstall, press the Menu button on your controller.
   
3. Select Manage game & add-ons, then Uninstall all.
