    Xbox One squeaking controller issue


    Ever since I got my Xbox One like a month ago, it came with this controller that squeaks whenever I hold on the right panel.

    I've tried my best to ignore it, but it just keeps getting worse and worse. I looked it up and apparently it's some sort of screw that's loose and that you need to take off the right panel to tighten it, but how do I do that?

    Controller stick squeaks in multiple controllers

    I bought an xbox 360 wired controller for pc. After few minutes the left stick started squeaking. I complained. I got a new controller. The new controllers left stick started squeaking after few minutes. My husband has a controller that doesn't have squeaking
    sticks. Instead the LT and RT squeak. Is the quality of your controllers always this bad?

    I'm still wondering if taking off part of the controller to tighten the screw will void the warranty. Is it a better idea to just get my controller replaced while it's under warranty, or can I fix it this way?

    Headset Adapter didn't fit = Broken Port on the Controller

    Looks like there are quality control issues with the adapter and controllers. If the adapter fits in one controller but not another, the controller could be at fault. Equally, if the adapter doesn't fit in multiple controllers, it's likely to be a controller
    issue. TBH my second controller feels slightly misaligned, like it's flexing, and it squeaks like a boss. Very annoying.

    Haha, I'm assuming it's the metal spring causing the squeaking and not the plastic?

    Annoyingly I just grabbed my Titanfall controller to squeak the trigger... And it's not squeaking, welcome back to the family again old friend! ;)

    My left trigger started squeaking during one of my gaming sessions and you are not kidding about it being annoying... I ended up taking controller apart and repositioning spring that is under trigger. Squeaking stopped after that and has not returned.
