Xbox One split-second, high pitched noise?

My new Xbox One is pretty quiet except for the whirr of the main fan, but I've been getting a different noise every now and then. I sometimes hear a split-second, high pitched noise coming from what I think is the disc drive after a long period of gameplay?
It's very quick, so I can't really confirm where it's coming from or what it is. Is it checking for the disc or suddenly loading the disc or something like that? I've heard this maybe once a day after playing for a while. Is this normal? Thanks in advance!

Xbox One High Pitched Beeping

That issue can be caused by a malfunction of the disc drive or the fan. In both cases it means a hardware issue and I suggest you to send that console for repairs:

Double post: I heard it again and it sounds very similar to the noise the blu-ray drive makes when you first put in a disc or when the disc drive starts up. So, the noise itself is not that strange but I'm wondering why I hear it at all. Does everyone experience
this?

I have my Xbox One on Standby but I don't hear the clicking noise. I can only hear a high pitched fan noise coming form the power brick.

On my second Xbox One at the moment.. The first one made an extremely high-pitched noise that could be heard from across the room. Once I received my replacement from Gamestop, the new console was completely silent ... For the first week and a half. Now
the new console makes a similar high-pitched noise that can be heard from across the room.. I can put a game case over the One's main vent, and the sound won't be heard at all... But obviously, I don't want to do that and risk overheating. The worst part is..
the new console even freezes during gameplay. (Not too frequent, however).

So yeah, my Xbox makes that noise as well, something that shouldn't happen.

Same thing started happening to me yesterday. It's kind of a high pitch constant humming noise. That and live TV that goes from my DirecTV box to the Xbox to the TV randomly freezes for about 5 seconds and then continues. The only difference is that I've
had my Xbox one since day one.
