    Xbox One sound error on game and movies!!!


    I have a very bad problem with my Xbox One; whenever I play any game or watch any movie including standard DVD, most of the sound is died down. I've tried switching different sound settings in the settings menu such as, 7.1 uncompressed, 5.1 uncompressed,
    stereo, even some of the bit-streams as well, and it only confirms my theory that it's the console itself. This all started when the update to where you can play 360 games on Xbox One. This goes out to the higher-ups at Microsoft and employees, If you have
    any info as to what's going on with sound we need to know because I know I'm not the only one.

    Extent of One S and XBOX's Media Streaming Apps?

    Xbox one s is a lousy media player

    I bought xbox one s based on several reviews that compared it to the dedicated blu-rays and mostly reviews said it was better, as an example than samsung k8500. My intention was to watch movies through hdd plugged into a usb port. To my disappointment of 10 blu-rays movies, it only opened 1, the others gave codec error. It has not opened any movie in 4k, even the movies in 1080p with sound in dolby true hd, dts, dts hd and others it also gives codec error.

    It does not support subtitles.

    In microsoft store I downloaded the doby access app to get the "atmos" sound, it comes with 3 or 4 small demo videos with the "atmos" sound, they all opened and played the "atmos" sound. But curiously when I went to open the demonstration videos of dolby that I have in hdd, all gave a codec error. And it is not due to the configuration, because I left the xbox sending the sound via streaming and the video in 4k for my denon 6300h and my tv is a lg 4k uj6565.

    Anyway, it's a real misunderstanding, since any $ 50 tv box runs any kind of codec and multichannel sound (with kodi). I have a tv box that opened and runs all the movies that xbox does not play.

    At last it is a great deceit and loss of time and money. It is my warning to those who like me think about buying it as a media player center.

    What is Error code 0x80070bfa

    I’m trying to rent a movie on the movie and tv app on Xbox one, it is giving me a error code of 0x80070bfa. Nothing pop ups when I search that error code on the Xbox error code website. I’m on the fence if I should reinstall the app or what, kind of annoying
    that the xbox error code website has no information on their own error codes.

    Xbox One, Dolby Atmos - 3 months since it worked correctly

    Dolby Atmos will get static during movies on Netflix, some Dolby Atmos movies on Netflix will not play most of the time. Atmos stays on, but when errors occur resetting the Dolby Access app doesn't help at all. I have also noticed the static sound with

    Okay. So you get sound when you are watching TV through the Xbox one from the TV app, but you don't get any sound when playing a game or movie, correct?

    From what I understand, Xbox One games are always Blu-Ray discs...so, if the games are XBox One games, then it sounds like it's an issue with the discs themselves if the console will play a Blu-Ray movie without issue.

    If the discs are Xbox 360 discs (DVD discs), then it sounds like the Laser diode thing is faulty if non-game DVDs sometimes have issues

    Xbox One Blu-Ray drive audio problem

    This worked for me! I went into the Xbox One Settings and then into the sound component and changed it from surround sound to stereo. When I restarted the movie, everything worked normally.
