    Xbox One sound control question


    Is it possible to control which device the Xbox One send the volume signal to? I have my X1 going HDMI into a sound bar, and the sound bar HDMI into the TV. Is it possible to send the volume control signal to the TV? Right now the X1 sends the signal to
    the sound bar.

    I want to get a pair of these for my Xbox one. I am aware I need the adaptor to make chat work. My question is does the adaptor affect the surround sound functionality at all? Also the sound controls on the headset still work properly? Or do I have to
    use the controls on the adaptor? I had a pair of turtle beach for 360 with surround sound. When I bought the adaptor for my X1 it ruined the sound completely.

    Combine XAC (Xbox adaptive controller) with the normal xbox one controller

    Hello Alberto,

    If I understand the question correctly, it sounds like you would like to use the Xbox controller along with the Xbox adaptive controller to control the same profile. Co-Pilot would be the feature you are looking for! Check out this link for instructions
    on how to set up this feature:
    Play with the Xbox Adaptive Controller     and
    Turn on Copilot

    Hello there,

    Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums. Just to clarify, have you tried to update the controller, or connect the controller to the Xbox One with a USB cable? When you connect the headset to the new controller does the controller detect the headset and
    there just isn't any sound coming out of the headset? or does the controller not detect the headset at all for either controller? Does the headset work on other devices?

    If I understand your question...

    Q: If you buy the Stereo Adapter, will this allow you to hear sound.

    A: Yes, the stereo adapter will allow you to plug in headphones to hear sound. I omitted the headset that comes with the adapter just in case you already have headphones.

    (The Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter lets you plug a compatible chat or stereo headset into the Xbox One Controller to control your audio experience without taking your hands off the controller.)

    The adapter will work with many existing headphones, but you can opt to buy the Xbox Headphones (w/Mic) and adapter too
