    Hi,

    I've been having this issue where certain games once a game update is released are coming up with the notification, for example the new Forza horizon 4 update that came out today initially told me it required a 1.3gb update however when I go to my games
    & apps it tells me it is "updating" but it seems to be reinstalling all 62gb of the game despite it being installed I have had this happen a quite alot with games and I have no idea as to why?

    Any help would be really appreciated

    Depends on the state of the game you are installing. Sometimes updates take more space or they get included in the space required for your game to be installed. If you have issues with only FH I suggest you to contact the game dev for assistance.

    I just had me thinking it was some bug because I've never had that problem when I used to play my pc I have game's set to automatic download's I was curious if there was any work around for it because 62gb is a lot for an update that should only be 1.3gb
    and a lot of games now take up a lot of space and time to download

    I have this same issue with certain games. Unfortunately, some games just completely reinstalled itself during the update. When I spoke to Microsoft agent regarding this matter>>>I was told that some game developers have the update set up that way. I
    know it an headache and this why I have my games to automatic update so I don't have to see it do this.

    I know what you mean and that why I reach out to Xbox Support regarding this matter to understand why. I just happy all of the games don't do this during an update. I can handle a few but not all especially when I excited about the update and want to play.

    The game is already installed, when I launch it I get a notification telling me it needs at 1.3gb update and takes me to the games and apps section where it then tells me it's installing an update the same size as the Base game I have had this problem with
    a few games like conan exiles, For Honor and Halo wars 2 for example

    I just don't know why it would make the entire games reinstall you know?
