Xbox One Smartglass vs iPhone 5

xDarkHelmet03x, no I am not from Xbox Support but I am an Xbox Community Ambassador. Basically an Xbox Live member who knows their stuff and helps support the Xbox community on the forums or chat.

In one of my previous post did you check the setting on your Xbox One is set to allow SmartGlass connections from a device? Also Districtopia has given you a good suggestion of trying from app on Windows 8 if you have this one a computer.

If this does not work from the Windows 8 app, then this is a clear indication that something within your wireless network setup is preventing devices finding each other. Check that you Netgear router does not have Wireless/Client Isolation enable which can
prevent devices accessing resource across a wireless network.

I assume that you have your Xbox One set with a static IP Address?

 

I do not have a windows 8 computer. I have windows vista. I did make sure that my xbox was set to accept any device how do I. Check for the wireless isolation? And I don't know if is have it set to a static address. I don't how to do that stuff

 

You will need to log into your routers access portal from your computer. Once logged, the wireless isolation setting is under Wireless Settings > Advanced.

I think I figured it out. I can't access my router at all. I'm gonna try and reset it later and see if I can "start from scratch" it could be that my router is messed up but it's weird that I can still connect to it. I guess I will find out later

Got a linksys router... It's working fine now... Guess I should sell the netgear... Maybe make something off of it
