Xbox one smart glass fail

hi I'm having an issue with xbox one smart glass app on wp8.1

the phone is a Lumia 930, the app fails to launch at all

no error codes are shown, same thing happens with the beta version

this app worked fine the first two times I launched it.

I'm signed into both devices with the same account. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app and hard rebooted the phone too. Any suggestions???

the Xbox one is configured for any smart glass to control it.

I cannot be download X1 SmartGlass at 8.1 Surface RT

So at my Windows Surface RT Tablet, i cannot download XboxOne Smart Glass.

The Windows Search Engine cannot found Xbox One Smart Glass, the Serchengine find always only Xbox 360 Smart Glasses. So if i startet Xbox 360 Smart Glasses at my 8.1 RT Tablet, there is a tiles named Xbox One Smart Glasses.

I use a Finger Tip at this Tiles but there is no reaction. For usually the tiles have to open a new Layer for description and the function to be download the X1 Smart Glasses App but there is no reaction.

Smartglass issue.

No issues for me. However when I use smart glass on my phone when I'm away from home (360 smart glass) sometimes when I load my friends it fails to load it the first time but it works the second time.

 

I run this app on my Lumia Icon.

When you try to launch Smart Glass and you tap the icon, does it do anything at all or does it just show the icon being pressed then nothing happens?

Are you using Dev access to get the latest 8.1 version or are you using the phone carriers release?

Did you happen to make any changes to your Live ID since having your Windows Phone? If so, the only suggestion would be to do a hard reset on the phone and enter your Live ID again. If you chose to go this route you should make sure you have backed up your
phone which you can do through Settings if you have linked your phone to SkyDrive.

If you have any authenticators on your phone for services like Battle.net, Live ID, Google etc, go to those services and remove the authenticator from your account and re-add them once you are up and running again. It is a lot harder to remove authenticator
app access if you don't have it to get a code from.

 

When I press the app icon the screen briefly changes as if its about to launch then immediately goes back to what was there before, either the list of apps or the home screen if trying to launch from a pinned tile. My phone is only getting carrier updates,
no dev account updates. No changes to my live id have been made. This app was working yesterday and has now stopped. I have also renamed the xbox one's hostname to no avail. Don't want to hard reset the phone and I find it frustrating that there is so little
(none in fact) info from the phone as to why it's happening. The speed with which the app just fails to launch and returns me to the menu / home screen makes me think its not getting as far as trying to talk to the xbox one. Anyone got any other suggestions?

Xbox Smartglass is currently experiencing some issues launching for many players. Xbox Support is aware of the issue and is working to resolve the problem.
