Xbox One Slowness

Alright, I love the console, SOOOO MUCH, but lately if I say "xbox on" it takes like 2 minutes for it to respond to it. Also I play battlefield 4 a lot, and my xbox automatically records game clips every time I get promoted. So I wasn't sure if having those
gameclips on my xbox is slowing it down or something, because now everytime I say "Xbox record that" or I get an achievement the Notification at the bottom pops up so slowly and glitchy like...so I was just wondering if anyone had advice to troubleshoot that
problem? I doubt it's my internet connection, but I guess anythings possible since there are a lot of features that require a connection to the internet.

Slowness on Xbox One

Is this normal? I was just playing Halo and unlocked an achievement...and after unlocking, I pressed and held the "console" button to open the achievement and it literally took about 2 minutes to open the achievement blade. This is also the case when I start
a party or open my friends app. Is this something wrong with my Xbox? Do I need to clear cache or something? This is a next gen console with the internals of a decent computer, why is it running so slow?

What MS did with the Xbox One in may update?

Several bugs, errors in dlc, slowness in downloads and crashes. It is crap!!

 

I turned off auto record... its in the settings somewhere to disable it. you can however still say xbox record that and it works, it just wont decide to do it on its own with the option unchecked. As for slowness, this has occurred many times for me and
for various reasons. For your situation, i would say a soft reset may help. With unit on, hold down power button for 8-10 seconds (until shut down), wait for for 30 seconds before turning back on. You will not lose any settings with this method and seems to
clear up cache issues, or what i believe to be data corruption as time passes. Good luck.

 

Thank you! I will try that. Also I noticed that here on the forums ads seem to be covering up profile information...like right now I can't see your gamer picture or recently games played becuase a "LogMeIn + Rescue" ad is in the way...what's up with that?
