    Xbox One Slow to Respond Or Won't Respond At All


    Console was working just fine a few weeks ago. Didn't play for a few week, turned on Friday to download Jedi Fallen Order. I noticed it was downloading erratically, my speed would go from over 300 Mb/s then go to 0 and stall out. I did a soft reset, but
    then the green screen stayed on for well over 15 minutes. I did the hard reboot, which seemed to solve the issue.

    Then yesterday I powered on like normal, but accessing games or apps would time out. Went to the menu, to go to Settings and would get the same error, something about taking too long, etc... So I did another hard reboot, keeping games and apps. Didn't help.
    Reboot again, deleting everything. This seemed to work. Downloaded Jedi again.

    A few hours into gameplay, I hit a save point and the save icon kept spinning in the bottom right, and the stage failed to render properly. I tried to reload, and got an error that the game wasn't saving properly and to clear the my saved games. Tried that,
    and again my system completely froze up, and wouldn't respond. At this point I shut down and gave up.

    When I did the reboot, I installed all updates, but the console is still behaving irregularly. Anyone experience this? I even got the black screen many times over. System is plugged directly into the wall, not a power strip as some suggested.

    What Xbox One model do you have?

    It seems that some Xbox One "fat" models have problems with the latest update.

    Have you tried doing a soft factory reset? This allows you to reset your console but keep your games and apps installed.

    Not for nothing, did you read my post? I've tried soft to hard reboots. It only seems to work somewhat normal after a hard reboot, but doesn't last. I tried both keeping and deleting all games and apps. I'm about to the point where I'm going to reboot from
    a flash drive and see if that works.

    What Xbox One model do you have?

    It seems that some Xbox One "fat" models have problems with the latest update.
    It's one of the fat ones. About 3 years old now.

    That's not the problem, I am hardwired. I don't run WiFi for my console. See my other response. When I hit the home button on my controller, that's when I have the problems. I cannot get menus to operate or buttons to respond.

    I've had a few different error codes. One problem is that when I hit the home button on my controller the menu opens, but is blank, if not blank it doesn't respond to any button commands. I'll select an icon, hit A, but nothing will happen.
