    Xbox One slow networking speeds


    I've been trying to use xbox live for the past couple of weeks, however my wifi connection has been consistently fairly bad. When running a speed test on my xbox (through ookla and the built in network test in settings) I get around 8mbps download speed,
    and roughly 60ms ping. When doing the same speed test on my laptop, also through wifi, I get around 300mbps download speed and 12ms ping. I've tried a few things I've heard recommended to help, but stopped short of resetting the console because trying to reinstall
    anything would take days. I was wondering whether this is a common problem and there's any recommended fix, or whether I should just try resetting the console.
