    Xbox One slow Mbps test

I've always suspected that my Xbox was performing slow but I never had the forethought to run a speed test through IE till today.

    I pay for 150Mbps Down/ 15 Mbps UP.

Using SpeedOf.Me, Internet speed test for all your devices I get these speeds:

    • The Xbox One tests at 8Mbps Down / 8 Mbps Up
    • Plugging the same Ethernet cable from the Xbox into my laptop gets 80Mbps Down / 8 Mbps Up
    • My Desktop computer on a different cable gets 130Mbps Down / 8 Mbps Up
Why is the Xbox One getting such horrible download speeds on the exact same wire as the laptop??

    :)

  2. xbox 360 internet explorer speed test

On the Xbox using internet explorer I did an internet speed test at Speed Test - Free Internet Speed Test – HTML5, No App Needed (both sites use HTML5 technology) and both speed tests on my Xbox were very slow between 1.5 Mbps to 3.5 Mbps. The Xbox is
connected using a cable not wireless. When I test my speed using my PC my speed is over 25 Mbps. Before I call my ISP, I would like to know if there is an explanation for the Xbox slow speeds.

    What does NAT Type mean?

OP good topic, I also have some questions. When I do network test on my Xbox One my DL speed is 13 mbps. But when I test my PS4 my DL speed is only 5 mbps. My Xbox NAT is open and my PS4 says NAT type 2. Whats the diference? Is my PS4 slower because PSN
sucks or what? I use wired connection on both consoles.

    Xbox One slow Mbps test

Looks like that website doesn't run well on the Xbox One (even though it's HTML 5). So it was exiting early. From the dashboard I found the place to get a bandwidth test and it's comparable to the laptop. So no worries.

I have a concern though. The "Packet Loss" is 100% and there was nothing under "Latency" should I be worried about that?

Don't query support about your speed being low they advise you that the xbox nor ps4 will give you a true speedtest the consoles can't handle it. My answer to support was. So Microsoft have put something else on the console that doesn't work

hello, currently there is a problem with the xbox connections and download speed please be patiant if you wish to improve your speed at least a little if its installation or just lag close all background devices that might be hindering your wifi speed
but also remeber that there are currently connection issues with a handfull of people

    Xbox One slow Mbps test

This is ridiculous! Down speed as low as 0.02 mbps. It takes a full day/overnight to download any updates. Slow is one thing, dead is another. I have checked all possible sources of the problem, and it is certainly caused by the xBox One, another "superb"
product put on the market by Microsoft. My MBP shows a down speed in excess of 70 mbps,so my network is not the problem. Network IT tech suggested a port forwarding problem. Any thoughts on this?

It's an issue on both consoles. I returned the PS4 for an Xbox One because of the molasses download speeds (13mbps on a 100mbps connection). 7-8 hours to download something I could download on my PC or Laptop (or my Smartphone, even) in 1.5-2 hours.

The Xbox One got even slower speeds on WiFi (literally half that of the PS4), but it did bump up quite a bit using Ethernet while the PS4 was molasses slow on both Ethernet and WiFi.

Just got back from returning my Xbox One for refund. This was one of the issues stated.

Also, the Xbox One (unlike the PS4) is serviceable over Ethernet. I was still getting speeds of 45-65 Mbps over Ethernet (my Notebook was capping out at 99 Mbps with basically no fluctuations, though the PS4 still only got about 15-20 Mbps over Ethernet...
I think the speeds are capped at the FW level on that console).

The main issue is that the WiFi speeds are not serviceable. 8Mbps will have you buffering streaming video at 1080p resolution, while something like a Roku [Stick] or Amazon FireTV [Stick] or ChromeCast, or AppleTV would just stream the content with no issues.

Xbox One can output to 4K TV, but you'll never be able to stream 4K content with the kind of WiFi performance you get on that console.

These consoles took a step forward in Gaming Graphics, but like 10 steps back in FW Quality/Stability/Robustness (80 steps for the Xbox One) and Network performance. The PS3 and XB360 were not this bad, or maybe my internet was so slow back then that I
    never noticed.

However... those older consoles didn't have you downloading 40+GB Games and upwards of 2GB updates on a regular basis, either.

Seems like everytime you turn these things on they have to update something. It's worse than a smartphone at this point.

I have the same problem, all my devices have 60mbps, I thougt maybe it was my modem / router..!

So I've bought a new switch, and ordered a new modem, still have a max of 15mbps..!?!?

All my other devices have a perfect download speed, so I know for sure it's the Xbox......

I live in Holland, and it should be better Microsoft!!

Also if you maximize people's download speeds, mention this on your website, I bought new network equipement for nothing now!!

SlipSlider if you are showing 100% packet loss you definitely have a problem. Nothing is getting through. What make/model modem and router do you have?
