    Xbox One Slow Ethernet Internet Speed


    Hi,

    So I was trying to download a game and I found that the download speed was awful and it was around 1% per 5 mins. This shouldn't be the case as i have a internet speed of 76MBps down and 20MBps up.

    On ethernet i get around 20-25MBps down and 6MBps up.

    On Wireless connected to my 5GHz Wireless AP i get 40+MBps down and around 12MBps up.

    Surely, this is not meant to be correct.

    Any ideas?

    Slow download times!

    Ethernet cable then tried wirelessly same result. Slow. When I download on the xbox one the speeds are fast. It too is connected via an Ethernet cable.

    does ethernet xbox one download faster?

    Other devices using the wifi can slow down your internet, depending on how much data it's using. A typical iPhone browsing the web shouldn't slow down your internet. If you're doing something like downloading a video on your laptop, then that could definitely slow down your speeds on Xbox.

    Could it be an issue with the ethernet cable or the ethernet port from your modem/router?

    I have the same problem Element. I think the hard drives just write too slowly. Having mine replaced for other issues so I will see if another box helps with download speed.

    I got the same thing and found out that when u shut down upnp in your router the download was much faster. this workt for me so maybe it help u too.

    A lot of times it ca just be a slow internet issue. But if the problem persists try unplugging your ethernet cable and plugging it back in. That can sometimes fix slow speeds.
