    Anyone wondering when Microsoft will announce the xbox one slim version. It would be nice if it had a solid state drive. What do the Xbox community think of this? Anything you guys would like to see in a hardware update (slim version)

    The Xbox 360 'slim' was a result of a few different factors. First, there was a slimmer version of the CPU chip, which ran cooler. As a result, they redesigned some of the chassis' internal components and added 1 large cooling fan (which ran more quietly
    than) replacing the 2 smaller ones. Of course, the fancy new design was a good selling tactic, but the Xbox 360s was more a result of addressing the RROD issues than making a slim console "just because".

    In short, I don't see a console redesign coming anytime soon unless some major hardware issues start happening (although I guess anything's possible). Besides... aren't we all getting just a little tired of hearing people whine about being slapped in the
    face?

    You won't see a shrunk console until TSMC figures out how to make going past 28nm worthwhile. 20nm is a dud.

    I feel safety in the giant VCR looking console as far as airflow is concerned, Sure it's the ugliest looking thing in my games room but you're playing the games.

    Since this All-in-ONE-entertainment thing failed so hard it would be time to release

    a facelift of the actual console. Make it wayyy smaller and kick all that BS like HDMI IN port and so

    on out...

    Nobody needs a VCR in his living room. Please Microsoft get it right. You already started to learn.

    this sucks i got 4 xbox in the house 3 old one slim running the dashboard beta and that the only one that i can use. tired wired and wireless and it wont work i wonder is there some different chip in the slim compared to the old . i have one old running
    wirelss the first adaptor the second running the new adapter one old wired and the slim wired. i turned my phone into a hot spot and the slim works that way so yes its time warner but only the slim xbox has the problem that is wierd
