Xbox One Slim

I don't know what you think about the Xbox one but its really fat and just looks ugs. I know it just sits there and is just meant for playing. But if your like me you like to travel around with your Xbox. It would be that hard to make a slim model. The slim
model doesn't have to be shrunken down to a really small size. Yes the bigger size is better because the system wont over heat much and I know the play station has had some problems with heat. But I want a Xbox one slim that is not so boxy looking. I want
to go away from that VCR look and go back to the Xbox 360 slim type model. I want more curves in the look. There is a Xbox one slim model design going around and it looks really good. Its not even that big of a change and wouldn't be that hard to make. Well

I think Microsoft can achieve this model. It doesn't have to come out right away. I'm able to wait a year or so. But I think its a good idea to make a new slimier Xbox One.

Of course it is quite a bit bigger than the 360 slim, the original Xbox 360 was bigger than the slim, I'm sure it's bigger than the Xbox One slim will be too. That's the point of releasing the slim versions later on. But it is only 2.4cm longer than the original Xbox 360, which is what it should be compared to, not the revised, shrunk later released versions.

the form factor so the console wouldn't die.

You'll be waiting for TSMC or GF to go
into mass production on a 14nm process. 20nm doesn't provide enough benefits to be worth using it appears.

 

It's not r-e-a-l-l-y fat the console. They made it that way so that it would get more than enough proper ventilation. It is slightly bigger than my Xbox 360 slim though. I first joined Xbox when the Xbox 360 Slim 250gb glossy black console came out in my
country mid to late 2010 (NZ). And Xbox 360 came out 2005 so had to wait about 5 years for a slim version for that gen. They might make a slim version of it but expect to wait probably at least another 2 years for one. It weighs about the same as my 360 too.
The design isn't a huge fuss for me even though I wish they'd made it no bigger than the 360 slim console. It looks like a VCR because it has like a Windows 8 style to it, sharp edges and clean lines.

 

I like it as it is. Its chunky, sleek and heavy. It would dent my floor before my floor dented the console, if it ever fell off the side

Joking aside, I got no problem with it. I wish they designed it to stand up too, rather than lay down but that's more of a dig at how little space I have around my set up.

A slim model would be nice for those who travel often.

 

It is fine the way it is. The more compact it is the more prone to hardware failure and heating issues. Like what everybody has already said it was built to last and for better ventilation.

 

If a portable home console (45-175w device) was an actual market, there would be a portable console. It isn't. Xbox One and PS4 are targeted at the living room. The "we" I refer to is the vast majority who don't move their consoles around.

Xbox One apparently fits in a
Vanguard, though the kit to adapt it to Xbox One is not available yet. If it fits in that, it's small enough, or did you plan to just co-opt people's TVs everywhere you go?
