    Xbox One Skype App Not Picking Up My Voice


    I want to start this off by saying that I didn't have this problem till I had to download the new Skype app a few months back.

    My problem is that whenever I am in a call my friends can't hear me, but I can hear them. I've tested multiple controllers to see if that would fix it, but it didn't. It's not my mic as it works in game and party chat. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the
    app to see if that would fix it too, and it didn't. I granted Skype access to my mic too, so I don't know what the issue is.

    Any help, advice, or info would be appreciated.

    Cant Send Voice Message?

    You cant send or view skype voice messages on xbox 1s skype app. One of my friends sent one and i cant open or send voice messages on xbox 1 even skype. Microsoft you need some teens or twenty something year olds on your team im not trying to age discriminate
    but the xbox 360 developers and younger gen know what we want.

    Skype help?

    I managed to get Skype working after it not picking up or feeding back any sound, however I have an issue. From what I can see its only possible to use Skype via the Kinect sensor.

    I was wondering is it possible to have the audio play through my Xbox One Microphone (the one plugged into my controller) and also use this as the microphone. I wanna chat with my friends on Skype but when my family are in bed I can't have lots of voices
    playing through the TV.

    Help is much appreciated!

    WE STILL NEED THESE BASIC FEATURES FOR ARE XBOX ONES.

    Voice Messages are NOT needed. (see it's not so black and white, is it?)

    (People that are my real friends send me Skype voice messages or actually pick up the phone)

    Headset adapter producing TERRIBLE voice chat quality via party chat.

    I just talked to Xbox support. As of right now they don't seem to have any kind of fix nor known software issues.

    As for my connection, it's wired. 115mbps.

    As of the support call I just got done with, none of my headsets seem to want to pick up my voice when using party chat. X12, XP400, and the Xbox One headset.

    And then they all work flawlessly in the Skype app. I am extremely frustrated. :(

    Yes there are those of us who are denied the ability for voice messages. Me and my friends which include a full 360 friends list genuinely use voice messaging and txt messaging. On Xbox 1's Skype app you CANT open voice messages because all you get is "this
    version of Skype doesn't support that yet" an Xbox 360 friend sent me one, and the only reason why I have Skype is because of Xbox 1. Just Like to video chat on 360 you need Video Kinect, to video chat on Xbox 1 you need the Skype app. It is an Xbox feature
    which tonnes of peps use on Xbox 360 so they should make Voice Messaging interchangeable between at least all Xbox 1 consoles which use Xbox Live.

    Xbox ONE "What Do You Like About It"

    * I like how it doesn't abruptly disconnect you from Xbox Live every time there's a system or game Update, something which Xbox 360 does.

    * I love the controller. Kinect can read QR codes and does a fair job at picking up your voice.

    * They've added in a battery indicator, recent players list, and improved the friends list, and the console now has Dolby Digital support thanks to an update. This proves M is listening to feedback.

    Received an email saying I can use my turtle beach Dolby headset to chat on Xbox 1 since M now does an adapter according to the email. What I and several others would really like next is Voice Messaging between other Xbox 1 consoles. It's an important "Xbox"
    feature which is on 360 but not 1. It needs to be on Xbox 1. One of my Xbox friends sent me a voice message via Skype but on Xbox 1 Skype's app, I can't open it because "This version of Skype doesn't support that yet".
