Xbox One signs me out when I lose connection

I'm having high packet loss lately for some reason. But that doesn't matter. My problem is that I tend to lose connection for a sec...and the console signs me out right away, ruining my gameplay and making me lose my progress. This is unacceptable. Is there
a way to avoid getting signed out at least, if I lose connection? The X360 never signs me out of my account if I happen to lose connection. In fact, Xbox Live often seems much more stable on X360 in general.

My Xbox One S keeps signing me out of Xbox live saying that the connection timed out even though I am still connected to the internet. I never lose connection to my internet but it still signs me out? After it signs me out it takes me a few attempts to sign
back in on Xbox live?

 

Why does my XBox One S keep signing out of my profile?

I am trying to play Sleeping Dogs DE, but when I bring my XBox back up to resume the game, sometimes it will sign me out of my profile. I will sign out, then back in, then shortly after, I'm signed out again. The problem is Sleeping Dogs keeps sending
me back to the log in screen most of the time, which makes me lose all my unsaved progress. It usually isn't much, but it is frustrating having to restart over and over.

Why exactly is my profile signing out? How is it in the 21st century, Microsoft can't make an account that stays signed on, even when a connection loss happens? Could you imagine someone's pc account signing off when the Internet connection is dropped?

This is why I always choose Playstation over XBox as my primary console. My Playstations are capable of allowing me to PLAY MY GAMES even if I lose connection. I have been buying more XBox items, but this whole account business is really turning me off.
What's the point of buying an XBox One X to get 40% more power, when my account may just shut down while I am playing? Will the hardware tell me it can't sign in faster?

 

It does matter; if data that are being sent doesn't echo back to your machine (ICMP echo request).

Are you wired or wireless with your Xbox One?

How is your networking equipment set up?

Could you detailing out any troubleshooting steps you have tried so far, so we don't post up solutions that may only echo back.

 

I know the problem is temporary, I just wished to find out if there's a way to avoid getting signed out all the time when it drops connection. I just wanted to play in peace, so I had to pull out the cable to make it stop signing me out every minute.

But thanks for helping with the connection problem! I have a wired connection. I'm on a modem and it's coming from another room with a long cable. I've tried testing the connection on the console and it gave me the high packet loss problem. I also tried
unplugging the modem. And turned off the console for a while too, because I went to do something else. Still seem to be having the problem right now.

But is there also a setting to prevent the console from signing me out of my account when it loses connection? The high packet loss problem has happened before, but my biggest problem is the console signing me out of my account when connection is lost. It
caught me off guard. I'm not used to it, since the X360 doesn't sign me out of my account like that and lets me play, even when it gets disconnected from the service.
