Xbox one signing profile out.

Xbox signing me out of profile, (rendering xbox useless at times) some issues arise immediately sometimes after a little while.

Steps I have taken so far :

1) Deleted and re installed profile.

2) Performed hard restart.

3) Restarted internet (hard wired via ethernet cable).

4) Made sure NAT was set to “open”

Have been on the phone with microsoft twice, has been no help thus far.

Any further help is appreciated.

Backwards compatibility question

You can login, make sure you are logged into a profile on your xbox one, then hit the back and start (view and menu) buttons in x360 mode... That brings up the option to sign into profiles and download profiles.

Even if you use another xbox 360 it should let you login to a xbox 360 profile and it should just say it was last signed in on another system. I'd make sure you are signed into a profile, if you are trying splitscreen stuff make sure your friend signs into his xbox one profile before then signing into his xbox 360 profile.

Awkward, but it works. Been busting up borderlands splitscreen in bc for a couple days.

Red Dead Redemption Error Message Help

I fixed it.

Go to Xbox.com and find your security settings for your profile, then find "Xbox 360 Profile Protection" and set it to require the profile to redownload the profile every time you sign in (this will also sign you off of all 360 consoles you were previously signed into).

Since my 360 had been set up to automatically sign in, I'm thinking the Xbox One thought I was still signed in on my 360, and obviously you can't be signed in on multiple Xbox's on the same profile at the same time, so it flagged an error.

At least that's my guess. I also cleared my Xbox 360 local data and did a console restart.

Just follow those steps and it should hopefully be fixed.

I have seen some people say that signing out of your profile and signing back in or trying a different profile might fix it.

When you sign in, are you using a second controller or are you using one controller? Generally, I recommend signing out of that profile and signing into the intended profile of use unless both players are using the Xbox One. This reduces the chance for any
profile issues.

Signing in on Xbox 360 would actually not affect your Xbox One sign-in. You can use the same profile on Xbox One and Xbox 360 at the same time without conflict.

It does sound like your profile is being signed in elsewhere and that's forcing a sign-out, so a password change would be a good precautionary measure.

If you are on a xbox one sign into profile 1 go to settings and under the account tab go to sign in security and passkey.

That screen will tell you what the email is that is associated with that particular xbox profile once you figure that email out any place that you want to sign into profile 1 you would need to use that email.

You can do the same thing with profile 2 sign into it and go to that same screen and it will show you the email associated with that profile.

You can not have one primary email associated with more then one xbox profile because this will happen and not know what profile to sign into
