  1. Xbox one signal strength

In the summer we like to put a tv on the deck. I tried to connect the TV to our system with a 50 ft HDMI cable. Connected to the xbox it did not work. Straight from the charter cable box it was fine. I tried it through the xbox with a 25 ft HDMI cable
and it would barely get a signal. The signal would be in and out. Is the xbox signal to weak to travel any real length, or is there something I can do about this? I'm concerned about this because I plan to purchase a home theater projector to hook up to my
system and would require about 20ft of HDMI. Plus it would be nice to have all our apps and games on the deck with out having to move the box. Is it possible to ad an amplifier to a long line?

    :)

    Signal strength

    Hey TCol115,

Are you able to boost that signal strength of your router? Since your Xbox is right next to it maybe you can just make a wired connection to help out.

Reach back and let us know what you find.

    signal strength

That bar meter in BLOPS is not your signal strength, it's your ping speed. Suggest you do

    Win-R | cmd | ping 4.71.156.74 -f -t -l 1400

-l above is a dash then a lower case L

Do a Ctrl-C after you've ping'd a dozen times, and let us know the result at the end of each line (like 28ms, 28ms, 27ms, 35ms....)

If the ping "times out" or says "Packet needs to be fragmented but DF set." then you have problems with your network.

Try resetting your modem and router maybe that will restrengthen the signal.
