Xbox One sidebar lag

Anyone else getting lag when they go to check messages? It seems that in the past few weeks whenever I hit the home button on the controller and then move over to the sidebar going to the messages it lags or freezes really bad. Most the time I have to hit
the home button again to get it out of the lag.

Please update and fix this issue.

it is usually down to network issues or isp, the sidebar when connected to the net has to refresh information all the time, i have never had slow sign in issues or sidebar lag, but a friend of mine has had this issue due to his broadband, he changed it and
everything was running smoothly again.

 

Xbox One Sidebar issue

This works...worked on 4 different Xbox's thanks. Tried to access ease of access...but still couldnt. hard reset several times. unplug and you're golden. thanks!

 

Not really but I don't get a lot of messages to begin with anyway.

Xbox live these past few days has been giving users some issues and as far as I know the issues have been resolved.

Id recommend giving your console a hard reset. This can be done by keeping your finger on the power button until the console turns off (doing this clears your cache)

Then disconnect the power cable for a couple of minutes so the power can be drained from the system.

Then plug it in and turn it back on.

 

"Xbox snap messages" has never been faster.

Kinect is and always will be faster than manual navigation.

 

No, I get this all the time, and it's getting annoying. I shouldn't have to hard reset so often just because the sidebar starts slowing down if you use it too much.

I always have had this problem ever since the new Dashboard came out for the Xbox One

..........

My console has the white light on the power brick, and I always restart the console via the options menu when I turn my Xbox One on.

I noticed that doing this reduced the probability that this issue happends to me by a lot

I also noticed that since I use the side bar a lot, I constantly need to clear the messages when they go too long.

This seems to alleviate whatever issues the side bar has when it becomes sluggish

I noticed that if I just leave the long messages qued into the side bar without deleting them, I have a much higher chance of entering " sluggish response mode ".

If the side bar does become sluggish, I have to restart the console via the options menu

It has been happening to me ever since the most recent preview update went live. I can wait 5+ minutes because it tells me I have new messages only to never have them show... It's incredibly annoying! I have to come here to xbox.com just to see those messages,
which is tedious.

 

I have not experienced any issues with this.

Have you tried restarting the console via the options menu when this happends?

It takes about 1 minute 30 seconds for the reboot (instead of waiting for 5 minutes).

My sidebar lags occasionally, anyone else have Notifications that keep coming back? No matter how many times I clear it, it just fills up again when I login, with the last always reading: "2 Minutes Ago" ... even if the last was actually hours to a day or
more ago in reality. Meh.

 

I haven't experienced this sidebar lag. Maybe it's your internet connection. The Windows 10-like UI on Xbox 1 is the fastest software version for me that they've introduced on Xbox 1. Or the servers could be playing up. Or try hard reset. It won't be long
til the next Update.

 

One thing I've noticed since last year, is that the Dashboard brings up notifications when my X Friends come online. We're no longer friends with each other and we're not following each other. Yet the Dashboard shows pop up when they come online.

 

SSB, that happened to me just yesterday. I keep getting a notification pop-up when Rippenharra comes online, but he isn't listed under my favorites, which are the only ones that should give me a notification pop-up when they come online...

 

Had nothing but slow and sluggish since nxoe came along
