Xbox One Sidebar issue :(

Hello Xbox Support, I am having issues with my Xbox One console, The issue I am dealing with is that My sidebar/snap bar will not open, for example; I am in a game, suddenly I see something amazing and I want to record it/screenshot it, so I Double-tap my
guide button to open the sidebar on the left, It will not open, it may temporarily black out for 3-4 seconds(meaning the sidebar should open) but it will just back out of it. I have tried rebooting my console, I signed back in once turned on, once I was signed
in I tried to see my friends list (meaning I had to open the sidebar) however it will back out and not work, this problem has been bothering me since yesterday 1-19-16 . I've called the xbox support for help however they can not do anything for me, they guided
me here and told me the "Offline Team" should be able to help me with these problems, I am not sure how this works as I've never posted a problem but I will check back here later, maybe Email me. Thank you for taking the time to read this, it's greatly appreciated.

my side bar is not working i can not access xbox party or receive them

Please fix my sidebar. I am unable to go anything on my sidebar. I am unable to access my side for party's,text,friends ect.... Still able to play games but will not accept any invites aslo. Please look into this issue A.S.A.P... I am thankful for your time
and help in fixing this issue with the X-BOX ONE.

 

YouTube App - What the?!!! New bug. So annoying.

I'm having an issue with the youtube app on xbox one. I used to use the sidebar to scroll through all of my subscriptions to watch the newest uploads from all of my favorite channels. Now, my subscriptions have disappeared from the sidebar. I have to go
to "subscriptions" and scroll from the beginning every time I want to get to a different channel. I tried signing out and back in, as well as deleting and reinstalling the youtube app.

This may sound like a silly question, But have you tried holding the power button on the console for 15 seconds or until it restarts?

 

I am also having the same issue. Tried hard reset multiple times to no avail.

 

Yes , I have, this is a bit frustrating. Lol. I'm not sure how to even fix this other than deleting everything off my console .

 

I found a solution. Go into settings. Under ease of access turn off high contrast mode. Worked for me

Worked for me as well! After 3 hours on a chat with Microsoft and them telling me to download the Offline update tool, then it didn't work. So there only solution was to factory restore my Xbox One!

 

Yes, same issue, and yes high contrast toggled off in ease of access in settings seemed to work. Kind of baffled this latest update caused such an issue.

Solution: Turn off high contrast

Scroll left from Home to open the guide.

Note Double-tapping the Xbox button will open the guide from any other screen on the console.Select Settings.Select All Settings.Scroll down to Ease of Access, and then select High contrast.Turn the option off.

High-contrast setting is not applying to the background of the guide

Following a system update, the high-contrast setting may not apply properly to the guide

I used voice command "Xbox Go to Settings" then turned off High Contrast. This Fixed my problem.

 

How can I access settings if the side bar isn't working and I don't have a kinnect??

 

found it , with the apps. god ***, everytime they update the dashboard it is less accessible.
