Xbox one shutting off itself

Ok so this started yesterday right after I exported a rockstar editor clip. Whenever I run any game, it shuts off by itself after a minute or two. It works just fine for the first 3-5 minutes in the dashboard, then I run a game and in a minute it just turns
off and the power supply light turns Orange. I tried almost everything, hard resetting, unplugging everything and leaving it alone for a whole night, putting it on power saving mode, plugging into a wall instead of those things that plug in a lot of other
stuff, and even tried using a different tv at a different spot in my house. And I don't think I can get a new power supply cause I live in Jordan middle east. I recently moved from Florida USA, been here in Jordan for 4 months now and the console never ran
into any problem untill yesterday. Is it something to do with gta 5's rockstar editor? Maybe it's too much for the Xbox to handle?

Xbox one shutting itself off

My son's xbox one will turn on, but before he can actually play, it shuts off. Not overheating. Can you please tell me what's wrong with this thing? It's only about 8 months old. His 360, we bought used and it still lasted him 3 years!!

 

Xbox One keeps shutting itself off

My Xbox One console keeps shutting itself off.
I've been having this problem for a while now. At first it seemed like it only shut itself off every so often, mostly with a week or so in between. But recently (last week) it just kept shutting itself off. Whenever i try to boot up a game disc like Halo:
MCC it shuts off before i even get to the main menu. I recently started playing Halo: Reach on my Xbox One too but it has the same problem. The biggest issue i'm having with this is that i can't play a proper online game. Whenever i'm playing Rainbow Six Siege
(not via a disc, but via the Xbox live marketplace) it shuts itself off in the middle of a game. When i try to turn my Xbox One on after it shut itself off it doesn't react at all. The power brick doesn't show a light and won't show one until i unplugged it
from both my Xbox One and the wall and plugged it in again. I've tried resetting my power brick several times but this doesn't seem to affect anything.

My warranty expires in 2018 so i'm a bit disappointed that something like this is happening (this isn't the first time i've had a problem with my Xbox One). I haven'tsend my Xbox One in for a repair or anything like that yet because i want to try anything
i can before spending my money on shipment and such. I know some people are saying that you should open your Xbox and clean it from the inside but i don't want to void my warranty. It's been quite hot here for the last few days (i live in Holland and whenever
it's hot, it's a very moist kind of hot). I think this is the main source that caused my Xbox to overheat.

the issue causing your console to turn off isn't to do with any games/apps you are running as the console is designed to have its fan work faster when the system is under a heavier load - this enables the console to continue operating at safe temperatures
while letting you do your thing.

It may be possible that the console fan is malfunctioning and not providing adequate cooling for the system, leading to it overheating during operation.

Please follow the troubleshooting steps listed here:

It may also be worth troubleshooting your power supply with the steps here:
support.xbox.com/.../console-wont-power-on

If none of the above steps help, it may be worth contacting support to see if there is something they could do for you as your console and accessories are still under warranty. It's possible they may be able to get a new power supply out to your or even
have you send your console in for repair via one of the supported countries which are close to you (Saudi Arabia/UAE)

As watch7ower said it might be a fan of the console. There a lot reason why it happen. But watch7ower have it cover. Also it might be because it a american console. The power supply is ment for american power outlet and not jorden's power outlet. You might
want chech that too.

 

Sorry for taking long to reply but this power supply is definitely one of those knockoffs that last a month..

can you inform us of what happened to the official power supply that came bundled with your console at purchase? Only use official accessories with the console and avoid 3rd party ones unless they have been approved by Microsoft as they could damage your
console and especially in the case of power supplies - be a fire risk.

Please contact support using the link in my previous post and see if they can get a power supply sent to you for free.

As Darkplayer mentioned, if you still have your official American power supply, ask about any type of special adapter you might need to use with it so that it works correctly with the voltage standards in Jordan.

My brother plugged in the original power supply in Jordan's power and it stopped working but I forgot what we did to it we either threw it away or its somewhere around the house, and I'll be sure to contact support. Thanks for the help guys
