    So I got an X1 for Christmas, and its been fine up till now. I've noticed lately that if my xbox idles for to long (Around an hour) it shuts off. It didn't do that when I first got it, and I haven't noticed anything that says the xbox has an 'auto turn off'
    feature. The other thing that keeps happening, is that if I pause a game, sometimes they unpause themselves. Its been happening recently with CoD Ghosts, if I pause single player, once in a while the game will start back up, even if I'm sitting quietly. (Instead
    of talking on the phone, where the xbox might hear the 'Play' command). Sometimes it happens after 30 seconds, sometimes after 8 minutes, or not at all. Is anyone else having these issues?

    HELP my Xbox is shutting off by its self at least 10-15 minutes after you start playing a game.

    this did not work for me

    My xbox s keeps shutting off, or wont turn on at all. then it will turn on by its self....only to shut down again.

    after off and on many times, eventually i will get it to stay on.

    i did all the trouble shooting found on this forun and also turned off the auto off feature.

    what else can it be?

    Hi,

    did you have checked the auto turn off functions in the Settings?

    It may be set on one hour til auto turn off when you are inactive.

    I just checked out my settings and found that option, it was indeed turned on to turn the xbox off after one hour. Thanks for the help, I didn't even know that was an option!

    Hey there! Can you try to power cycle your Xbox? First turn off your Xbox, then unplug all wires from the xbox and make sure the power adapter is removed from the wall. Wait about a minute, reconnect all the wires. Make sure your power brick is turning
    white when you boot the console up and stays white. If it is not, you may have a power brick issue.
