    Xbox one shutting down


    Hi

    Guys would really appreciate you opinions my console is shutting down after few minutes I'm on a game and it only does that when I'm on a game if I switch it on and do nothing it's stays on but once I open a game it shut down even the LED on the adapter
    goes off too when it shuts down I tried holding the power button for 10 seconds and didn't work, any idea on to what I can try before I can conclude it needs repairs

    Hey mate,

    I would try firstly giving your console a power cycle, which you can do by having the console on and sitting at the dashboard. Then from there, hold the power button down on the front of the console down for 10 seconds until the console switches off. Then
    leave it off for a minute or two, before turning it back on and trying again.

    If that doesn't work, then try removing your profile from the xbox, and re-adding it back again. That might just kick it into grear :)

    Yeah, sounds like you need a new power supply pack. You can purchase one on Amazon. They’re around $30 USD.

    I had this same issue with my X1X and it was because the fan vent was blocked by my controller's battery charger so the console was overheating.

    I haven't as I don't own another cord, though I thought that might be it, too.

    I've found a repair store that's open and will see what they have to say about the matter once they've run some diagnostic tests.
