    Xbox One shutting down randomly after another CODMW update


    Hey all;

    So tonight I updated Call of Duty Modern Warfare (for the 193726th time) and now when trying to play the game, it’ll pull up its first loading screen, and then all of a sudden my Xbox will either shut completely down, or will restart. The download is complete. I’ve checked my system, power strip and supply. Nothing is warm or warm.

    I also just purchased a newer television with higher specs, quality, capabilities than what it was hooked up to before, but I know I have have the correct HDMI cords for everything.

    Anyone else experiencing anything like this?

    Since the Xbox Rewards program is shut down, it is not tied to that. Codes like that are usually just sent out randomly to different accounts for different reasons. There's no way to know why one account receives it and another doesn't.

    Today I opened up IE and it started updating. Worked good, but it now shuts down randomly for no reason that I am aware of. Maybe another update will fix that issue as well?

    You'd think fault logs would be generated if it's software and an update applied.

    Try a hard reset, hold the power button down for ten seconds or so. If that doesn't work call support.
