    Hi yesterday afternoon i restarted my Xbox one s all digital and as soon as the Xbox logo boot splash screen came up it shut down leaving my controller guide button LED blinking i hope this wasn't a corrupt file in the update or when I accidentally changed
    the sandbox ID in the dev settings and reset the console to factory retail defaults so far i can use my console games and apps normally and haven't experienced a boot loop or the console being unusable as usual and what can anyone do if they changed the sandbox
    ID accidentally or without knowing how to use dev mode because dev mode could be activated in two ways from the hidden dev settings and the activation app but Xbox recommended users not to touch the hidden dev settings sandbox ID as it does not fully turn
    the console into a dev kit

    Yes but that is what enforcement team deal with and stop people who use that type of things to cheat modify other games ect. There is terms of service that everyone agrees to when making an account, Am certain it's in there some where.

    You could also try a factory reset to get it back up and running and this is why dev kits are ment for devs only.

    Well what I'm referring to is that all Xbox one consoles have a hidden developer setting in the console info settings and that it was found using a button combination using LB RB LT RT and I'm guessing this was for developers at the time before the dev
    mode activation app was made public and the concern is that If you accidentally or curiously changed the sandbox ID and it restarted to the sandbox mode where you have enable dev mode entirely because you can't enable dev mode if you in retail mode in sandbox
    mode yes but resetting the console back to retail defaults is concerning that you could possibly damage the console Xbox warned users to not change anything in the sandbox ID and I'm not sure if the hidden dev settings were official like the app

    Thanks for coming to the forums. The sandbox ID is attached to what program or game you are doing. If this is changed it may affect that development. You can look over the

    documents for Xbox live sandbox creators    .

    Is there any chance of people getting banned just because of changing the sandbox ID from those hidden dev settings the ones you find by pressing the LB RB LT RT combination and from there you enable dev mode or set/change the sandbox ID question is if
    changing the sandbox ID where does that take you to is the sandbox ID does that activates dev mode or what? Bottom line is that i changed the sandbox ID basically just added a letter like y to where it said retail as retaily in the sandbox ID twice accidentally
    and had to factory reset the console which everything games and apps are playable again and the. Last question is is changing the sandbox ID to whatever name isn't the same as when someone hacks into the system even if this hidden dev setting was used by developers?
