Xbox One shuts off while starting up any game

I've bought the Xbox One Day 1 edition and it has been working well since then up until this sunday (7/27). While playing Assasins Creed it just died on me. Turned off completely and my controller kept flashing for about 10 secs and then turned off as well.

Restarted the console and this time it worked fine for 30min play time and then turned off. I thought maybe I should give it some time and unplugged the power brick and left it alone for a good hour or two. On trying again the console started up fine but when
I tried to start a game, be it FIFA or Assasins it would turn off instantly.

I've had it turn on and sit there doing nothing for hours after that ... even started Internet Explorer and watched a few streaming videos on it for an hour. It worked absolutely fine. Then I thought it might be a problem with the discs so tried playing Kinect
Sport Rivals which is downloaded on the drive but when the loading screen for that was done with Xbox turned off again.

Have gone through the forums and not sure if anyone has experienced this issue. Forgot to mention, I've also tried the power recycle trick to no avail. Anyone know what might be the cause for this? Will be contacting MS later today.

My 2 week old Xbox one s 500gb keeps shutting off while I playing it.

While playing a game on my Xbox one S it will freeze and shut off. It is only 2 weeks old and never has worked right . Never have played a full game and it would never update from the first time starting it.

Hello. I've had my Xbox One two weeks now, and I have been experiencing issues while streaming video via Netflix, Amazon, and Youtube. While watching a stream it will bring up a screen advising that the video is not available at the moment and to select
a new title, then the controller shuts off, the the system shuts off soon after. I have trouble shot this issue to the best of my ability. I know it's not the system inactivity timer, due it shutting off within minutes after starting the stream. I also don't
believe it's due over heating since I have never received the notification, and I can play games without any issue. Any idea what's causing this issue or any resolutions?

 

Please try the steps below to solve the problem. If they do not work then perhaps you may need to send it in for a warranty repair.

Is resetting to Factory Settings an option at all for my problem? Or does it sound more like a RAM related issue with the console?

Sorry, should have mentioned that I'd tried the steps from the link you had provided. Had the problem even after that.

I'd called up MS to talk about the issue further, but when the support rep asked me to power it up to troubleshoot, this time my xbox one console did not power up at all. The icon light came on for a second and went off. I was surprised as just hours back
I had done the power cycling test you'd mentioned. Also, watched youtube and used IE on the console.

The support rep asked me to disconnect the power brick and wait for a few min and then try. But still the same. Now the xbox console doesn't even power up. Don't know what to do. The rep has asked me to send it in for a repair or advance replacement. Guess
there's nothing else I can do about it now.

Looks like it. If you do a regular repair it could take a week or more to get back. The advance replacement has to be done over the phone and requires a credit card. They will send you a new console before you need to send yours back.
