Xbox one shuts down after step 2/verifying wont update

Arranged for return under warranty, just to recap, it wont update online, it will update offline, then after no other issues playing games etc, will restart if set to always on, it wont restart after a full shut down, the xbox one x intro movie doesn't
play, goes straight to trouble shoot screen.

That will happen when there is something in the console (usually the processor) gets too hot. You will need to set it up for repair.

Step 1 ----Select Xbox One

Step 2 ----Select See other options

Step 3 ----Select topic (Ex. System Update)

Step 4 ----Select "Show contact options"

Step 5 ----Select request a call from support

That's not the case - just because it shuts down from overheating doesn't mean it's damaged.

Shutting down from overheating is a mechanism to prevent damage.

If your console shuts down from overheating after taking steps to prevent it, then you need to consider repair, but not before.

after step 2 the system shut's down and stays down

Same here... When you turn on the xbox one x (didnt check if it happens with xbox one s) from the controller, about 5 seconds after that it looses sync to it and wont re-sync until you shut down the controller and turn it on again, tried it on 3 different
consoles with 6 different controllers, all that happened after the last update

If you have the Hauppauge HD PVR 2 Game Edition, the thing is your pc has to be on. I found out after shutting down my pc that the xbox wont work. So basically you need the pc to run the xbox.
