Xbox One shows High Latency and Packet Loss

Hi, I am on 32 mbps Wired connection . But when I am testing my internet speed on Xbox One , sometimes, I am getting packet loss of 2% - 3% , and latency is over 260 ms everytime.

So, do any of you experience the same or you get perfect latency and no packet loss?

N.B: When I test my speed from PC in speedtest.net , I get latency(ping) of 4 ms only but when I speedtest on xbox one , I get high latency of 260ms or more and packet loss of
2% - 3%.

I get high packet loss at home my stats are dis 35.84 maps ups 1.87 maps packet loss 100% my 1452 latency nothing shows and 100% wireless strength I have try to reset modem and didn't work any thing else I could try

I have the same high latency here, im from the UK and have a wired connection to my modem, no router,

my NAT is open,

124 mbps download - 0% packet loss

13 mbps upload - 0% packet loss

latency 155 - 185 ms,

With this high latency its no fun playing games online or trying to compete in such games as Battlefield 4 or Call of Duty: Ghosts when U.S players have better pings then E.U players, seeing that Xbox One servers are only in the U.S,

I hope there are plans for some E.U Xbox One servers to cut down the high latency.

 

I have the same problem with wired connection on my xbox one. i'm supposed to be exceeding 100mbs but i'm only getting between 30 to 70 mbs. is it the cables i'm using?

 

Hi there! Without knowing the specifics of your connection and network, it will be hard to do any troubleshooting in the forums. I recommend going through this troubleshooting guide:

Your error messages are in there, as well as multiple ways to hopefully fix them.

Things you have tried: Putting the IP into DMZ, power cycling xbox one, Hard resetting router

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown : Yes . And also tried with disabling it but same problem.

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type? NAT is OPEN.

Do I need to change any settings in my router ?

 

I believe that when you do the test on the Xbox it pings Microsoft's servers in Seattle. When you use speed test it chooses a local server. Test what you connection is to Seattle from speed test and report back.

 

If you went through the troubleshooting steps and are still having issues, I would try updating your router's firmware, and maybe see if your ISP offers a different router. I helped another user who had their issues solved by switching their router the other
day, but it was not your model. And your location may honestly be the issue. I don't know how Microsoft's servers work, or where they are located, but the further away from you the data goes, the more packet loss and latency you will get. You may also want
to contact support (support.xbox.com/contact-us) and see if they have any advice that isn't in the troubleshooter.
