Xbox one showing multiple access points on router

Ok here goes.... I recently oved into a house that turns out....doesn't have landline internet thanks to two fighting companies who have left my road without proper internet. I was forced to run verizons home fusion internet which has a 30GB cap. (scary
considering I used to stream Netflix for tv and game constantly) When I hooked up service I tried to connect to live using wireless and after 3 hours between Microsoft and Verizon it turned out that no matter what port forwarding or trickery I tried.....live
doesn't communicate through wireless between the Verizon router and the xbox, it would connect but not communicate. So I went hardwire with an Ethernet....all was well at that point, xbox worked, Netflix worked....all of it.

So long story short Verizon is showing that in 14 days ive ripped through 23 gigs of data but they cant tell me whats going on. Looking at the network stats on the XB1 it shows ive used 5.9GB. This was due to updates that needed to be installed from having
it off (no game updates at this point) and Netflix at the lowest quality possible. I understand that what my xbox shows and what Verizon shows "may differ" however the xbox accounts for 5.9GB, my laptop for 4GB, my cell phone for a whopping 1.3GB and my wifes
phone that I don't have handy. Quick math says that that's about 11.2GB meaning my wifes phone ripped through 12 gigs in 14 days? impossible.

While beside the point it leads up to my question.... while trouble shooting with Verizon they had me access my router through my laptop, its showing a wireless xbox one connection as active, and my Ethernet connection as active as well. is it possible that
theyre dual monitoring what my Xbox is using? The Xbox wont allow you to run simultaneous connections, if youre hooked to Ethernet and you hit connect wireless it tells you to unplug the cable first. so while my XB1 was hardwired when I went onto my router
it showed the IP address for the wireless as active, as well as the IP address for the Ethernet...unplug Ethernet and refresh...boom no Ethernet showing on the router..... but its showing a constant connection to wireless regardless of the physical configuration
of the XB1

Am I being worked over here or am I just clutching at straws? Ive gone dark on live, I haven't played a single game...sole use has been Netflix for an hour every other night or so on lowest possible quality yet theyre showing mystery data being sucked up
and it would certainly explain the usage, it may be a Verizon thing...it may be an XB1 thing... I'm just tryuing to figure it out at this point. overage charges on their internet are not easy to stomach.

Hey Exaotic! Are the Xbox and your PC connected to the same network? Does your router provide multiple access points on different frequencies? Additionally, does the same issue occur if you use a wired connection with both the PC and the Xbox? Post back
