    Xbox one Settings Questions

There are a few things I see in my settings section specifically the display and sound of my xbox one that I have no idea what are please shed some light on what theses mean and what settings I should use.

    1. Whats Colour depth??

    2. Whats Colour space, What does Hz mean is that like Frames??

Please tell me what these mean and what settings I should choose with them BTW the tv I use is pretty small only 16 inches (I know right small but I think its fine) and its running 1080p pretty well.

    :)

    Xbox one Settings Questions

    Hey JamisonJimmy,

Thanks for posting on the Support Forums!

    1. Colour Depth is the number of bits used to create a single colour in a pixel.

    2. Colour Space can have a couple meanings, depending on how you look at it: PC-RGB, would be the standard colours you get from a computer. They basically determine the colour from one basis to another. Regarding Hz (short for Hertz), from Bing: "the SI
unit of frequency, equal to one cycle per second." - generally you won't need to dive too deep into that, however, for gaming purposes, you will want to try to keep it at 60Hz, as a 'refresh rate', smoother gameplay.

Pretty advanced stuff, that most people won't need to worry about.

    Hi.

it's down to preference, I would stick with colour depth 24bit and colour space standard, leave the allow 50Hz and 24Hz unchecked.

    Hi Nana,

thanks for coming to the forums with your inquiry. Have you tried to switch it from first person view to third person view? This may help with the issue you are experiencing.

    Thanks,

Question about XBOX ONE RESOLUTION SETTINGS

I am 100 percent certain this tv is only 720p, 100 percent. The funny thing is when I pick select recommended settings on my xbox one, it picks the video output to 1080p, and tbh the picture looks much sharper and vivid. Even the televison info says 1080p,
but I am aware it is just displaying the resolution being sent into the televison. I would appreciate anyone to list the pros and cons of selecting 1080 on a 720p televison.

As I said it looks better but it can be a false look also
