Xbox one set up

Discus and support Xbox one set up in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; can I set up xbox one without having it control my tv?     can I set up xbox one without having it control my tv? I was trying to use a hdmi splitter that I used with my 360

    XBOX one initial set up.

    Have you set your time zone go into settings/system there you can select your time zone

    thats where i am, trying to set the time zone. i selrct London but then im unable to select daylight saving or next because cant move off the london setting

    Yes it's possible to do this, I think only the kinect version of the console can control the TV if you not using an IR extension cable on the console on top of that you will still need to input codes for TV you have, so this should mean it will not control
    the TV.

    1. Xbox One I assume?
    2. Press the menu key of the controller.
    3. Go to Settings > System.
    4. Go to the Location section and select "Language & location".
    5. Use the "Language" menu to make your selection.

    Can't change language to set up xbox
    I had the same issue when i bought a second hand xbox one x. I had to completely reset the Xbox back to factory and then start fresh. Try that out and it should work. If not contact the amazing Xbox Support team here, https://beta.support.xbox.com/contact-us

    If FIFA is for your friend's son then you will need to have his gamertag on the console to download it so that the game is linked to his account (the game will link to whichever tag downloads it first and cannot be switched).

    Now, this will be fairly easy and won't spoil the surprise. Have your friend come over and enter in the email details of the account for the Xbox One while it's being set up. His son's account can be up and running on both the Xbox One and the Xbox 360
    at the same time without problems.
