xbox one - set up stuck on update error code 0-80072f8f

Hi, thanks for all the messages of advise for trying to fix this update error. Unfortunately even the offline update didn't work. Same error message. Am now trying to return the console/bundle to Game.co.uk
- whose customer service has been lousy!!

You might want to update the console offline to fix that error...

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue regarding your first time start up of the console.

I would say that if you are unable to get it to continue, that you should try the steps outlined in our

Set up your Xbox One console guide.

If that doesn't do the trick, then next I'd try setting it up using a different home network and see if that helps any. Finally, if that does not help, I would say to try and taking it back where you got it and have them exchange it for another console.

When you have a chance, give those steps a shot and let us know if this info was helpful in resolving the issue.

Hi are you using wifi or are you wired? Are you able to access the settings? You may want to try clearing the MAC address

Settings - All settings - Network- Advanced Network- Alternate MAC address- Clear- Restart
