News of the possible price cut comes via the Official Microsoft Store, which has cut the price of the Titanfall bundle to $450.

If they launch a base model with 2tb that's going to rock. Won't help me now, but damn, if i upgrade in the future maybe the 1.5 version will also have larger internal making my external that much more space.

EDIT: Also hoping they make it swappable if it's not that large, or even if it is. Then we can always expand, and move the internal to a comp.

Good on them to realize that price is a prime consideration from a consumer's viewpoint.

 

Amazon has an active sale for $100 off with coupon code x1amazon or something. As an early adopter I feel completely *** right now and kinda have a new found respect for Nintendo, at least when they burned all the 3DS owners they gave them some games and
an apology.

Depends. If the price is permanently reduced then it is a price cut and not a sale. Even on a price cut they will show the old price in comparison to the new price. It does say limited time savings but I never trust that anymore. I have seen way to many
times. They list it as a limited time thing to entice people who are considering buying and never actually take the "sale" or "limited" time offer away. Amazon lists things like that quite often. I have seen games go on sale for a limited time only to see
the price stick permanently and sometimes followed by another cut not that long after. In those cases they are using the term limited and sale to get what they can at a higher price before the full price reduction. Not saying that is the case here but it
could be.

This is a nice deal either way. That is, if you are interested in Titanfall. If you are, the console is basically $390. Hard to argue against that price.

 

Prices get cut when they aren't moving the product they want or production costs are reduced...im guessing the first one...im still holding off on a new console bcause i was burned too many times in the past being an early adopter and waiting around months
for any good games besides the one or two i liked on launch....not to mention RROD and etc....destiny is going to be my motivation...right now im happy catching up on games i missed initially...brutal legend is in right now. Maybe ill luck out and be able
to get it under 350 when destiny rolls around.

 

Needless to say, im pretty upset. Not only is MS cutting the price of the system by $50 for late adopters, but their giving them free games as well. They've pretty much convinced me to buy a PS4 this week and shift the bulk of my support to that.

Edit: To those who say its not a price cut, I disagree. While I don't feel its a full fledged price cut at the moment, im positive MS is testing the waters to see if they can catch up to Sony with the cut. Lets face it, Sony is is doing a lot better then MS,
and MS needs to somehow gain more support and fast.. Give it 6 months or so and this will be an official price cut. They don't want to make it seem too obvious since I doubt they want to upset early buyers more then they already have.
