Public Servers completely down for Xbox ONE !
Can only play Private games until the company buys more servers apparently [emoji52]

if 360 servers get shut down then would't the xbox one servers be shut down? arent they the same live service?!

 

Xbox know there is a problem with social side of things you will just need to sit tight until its sorted you can still play online without any problems

Click support at top of forums you will see the info in there

 

At the top of the screen you should be able to see the server status. Easier to check that then to make a post.

 

That's great! Unfortunately the service status shows nothing going on with the friend's app and ability to party so, why bash on someone who obviously wants answers, this kinda cr4p keeps happening and I'm kinda sick of it myself... I have to use 3rd party
sources to actually find out its not just my issue because there's a very vague blanket statement about service outage and the a giant list of apps I do not use that "are" available. It would be better and probably not *** me off as much if you just told
me what was going on... I guess it's time to dust off the old 360 cause that service has been pretty solid from day one...

 

I went on about 9am this morning, it was ok then, manage to set up a Party Chat, invite friends into it. About an hour later I noticed I couldn't view my friends list but had no problem playing online games.

 

Its says on the console social and gaming effected at the moment. Just go to settings and network and it tells you there whats issues if any are happening.

 

It's been happening to me and all my friends for about 20 hours now the xbox one just has the same bugs repeating over and over again, surprised they don't know how to fix a problem they've already fixed in the past, think my next console will be a ps4 n
just get a pad with layout like Xbox pads

 

lol @ changing to PS4. I have both and I can assure the problems on the PS4 are about 50 x worse than anything going down on Xbox. Ive not access to my messages and friends list on PS4 for fast approaching a month not one day.....i aint kiding either pop

The service outage statement from Microsoft XBOX was very vague indeed!

Some of us here work in support ourselves and if we gave a vague statement like that to a client you can almost bet your life that they would not accept and someone is bound to disagree and escalate it to what I call POWERS from ABOVE!. I for one use the
STAR model myself and almost never get any complaints about the way I address and resolve senior technical issues on a service desk.

As for the advice about ONLINE gaming is NOT affected, well I'm sorry but you're wrong because for example can't play FIFA 15 PROCLUBS, and can NOT invite friends to the fireteam on Destiny either.

You can ALSO almost BET your life that at the backend the servers are windows powered. FACT, windows servers have more problems than any other servers hosting alternative operating systems like *nix.

 

P.S - It looks like it's NOT just XBOX ONE servers having a difficult time, not even all their WEB servers are fully operational.

Yes true it looks like the problem is a lot worse than I first thought and it's being going on a lot longer than it should!

Lets hope they get the finger out and sort everything soon

 

Friends list still works on the smartglass app.Finally,a reason to use that crapp
