1. XBOX One Server URL's or IP addresses needed

    Hi,

I am running a network and my customers report that they cannot receive game downloads, updates or online gaming whilst connecting through my network - just queues constantly.

I have isolated the issue to a web filtering device (Bluecoat), which when I bypass the updates work.

I need to leave this filtering device on at all times, but as a workaround am trying to set up a manual bypass for XBOX One related destinations.

I identified one XBOX server IP address during troubleshooting which when i manually bypassed, worked fine.

The problem is that there are many different server addresses.

My question is, does anyone know of the IP address range or URL associated with XBOX One game downloads, updates etc....?

    Many thanks!!!

    :)

I can't connect to my home network

    Greetings InaudibleCow!

Appreciate if you can post up the model number of your Motorola modem.
All 3 were asking me for the ports that needed to be open and the static IP address that is needed to be applied manually

A:[mod removed]/255.255.248.0
The only reason I can think of why your IP address was removed is because it shows a public IP address. Have you assign your Xbox static IP? If so, how did you obtain this IP address and how
did you configure it? Since you're Xbox is sitting behind your NAT you should be getting an internal (non-routable) IP address within the start and end pool of your DHCP server range.

I have found one thing, My DHCP server is trying to assign the Xbox an IP address, I see the router assign an IP address to the Xbox but the Xbox never picks it up.

XBOX One Server URL's or IP addresses needed

Hi Lemming! I'm not too well-versed in this type of traffic directly on the server-side, so what I'm about to say may not help. First, I'm not too sure if the IP addresses of the servers which handle gaming and system traffic are publicized at all. I'm not
actually sure how the servers at Redmond work, that is, if there is a set IP range, or if they assign addresses more dynamically than that.

Let me ask, though, is it possible this type of traffic is being blocked based on the PORTS rather than the IP addresses? The Xbox One uses a wide variety of ports for its network traffic, including:

    Port 88 (UDP)

    Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 80 (TCP)

    Port 500 (UDP)

    UDP Port 3544 (UDP)

    UDP Port 4500 (UDP)

The following link has the information for individual users forwarding ports using their personal networking hardware. I'm curious if there might be a way to set up handling rules for these Ports in that Bluecoat device. Since the device sees it as high-demand
P2P traffic, it might just be blocking it outright, but I would think there'd be a way to work around it on the network admin side.
